Chicken and Waffles...Socks
The history of Chicken n' Waffles and our lovely socks.
We're not sure who came up with the idea of serving fried chicken with waffles; the origin and history are not well documented. Rumor is, the delicious pairing gained popularity in the late 1700's, after Thomas Jefferson (yes, that Thomas Jefferson...) purchased his first waffle iron, in France, and brought it back to the United States. Over 200 years have passed, and the dish is still going strong! So, to whoever is responsible... we'd just like to say: thank you - it was a fantastic idea!
Chicken & Waffles on socks? Why not? Can you think of a better way to express your love for southern-food-perfection than by wearing "Chicken n' Waffles," on your feet? I didn't think so.
